Peer Reviewers Process

An editor initially reviews the submitted manuscript. The office will examine it to determine its appropriateness for the InterMath Education Journal's (IMEJ) topic and breadth, or to identify any severe methodological issues and high Turnitin similarity scores.

At least two anonymous referees will review the article for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation (double-blind peer review). We subsequently forward the reviewers' comments to the associated author for any necessary actions and answers.

The proposed decision will be considered in an editorial board meeting. The editor will then deliver the final decision to the appropriate author.

Review the outcomes.

Based on the feedback from the peer review process, the editor will make a final publication decision. The evaluation procedure will take between 5 to 9 weeks. Decision categories include:

  1. Reject: The InterMath Education Journal will not publish rejected articles and will not allow authors to resubmit a revised version of their manuscript.
  2. Resubmit for Review: The submission has to be revised, but with sufficient revisions, it may be accepted. However, it will require a second round of assessment.
  3. Accept with Revisions: Manuscripts accepted awaiting revisions will be published in InterMath Education Journal (IMEJ) with minor/major adjustments. An editor will assess the revisions to confirm the implementation of any necessary modifications prior to publication.
  4. Accept: Accepted papers will be published in their existing form, with no more changes necessary.

The author will receive the reviewers' and editor's comments and have the option to amend the article. The author may retain a returned manuscript for modification for up to four weeks.

Correspondence
Please send all manuscript-related correspondence to the editor of InterMath Education Journal (IMEJ) and copy it to [email protected]. The editor will direct any correspondence to the main author, who is responsible for communicating with the other writers. In addition to discussing the review, publications that receive approval may require further correspondence to finalize copyediting and layout editing.

After Acceptance

A lecturer from UBP Karawang's English education studies program will edit the approved work. The cost of language editing services is now free.
