Abstrak

Alpinia galanga L., merupakan famili Zingiberaceae yang telah digunakan secara tradisional dalam berbagai praktik pengobatan karena sifat terapeutiknya. Dengan hal tersebut penelitiaan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kadungan potensial senyawa metabolit Alpinia galanga sebagai salah satu potensi terapi alternatif pada kasus diabetes melitus dan beberapa penyakit gangguan lainnya. Dalam penelitian ini, metode in silico yaitu jejaring farmakologi dan juga analisis pengayaan Gene Ontology dan KEEG pathway yang mengungkapkan terdapat 28 senyawa metabolit yang memiliki keterkaitan pada tanaman dan penyakit yang akan diteliti dan juga menggungkapkan pengayaan fungsi molekuler utama seperti aktivitas katalitik, aktivitas protein kinase, dan pengikatan molekul kecil, yang mengindikasikan sifat pengaturan dan katalitiknya. Selain itu, analisis jalur KEGG (Kyto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genomes) menyoroti keterlibatannya dalam jalur pensinyalan yang terkait dengan homeostasis glukosa, kanker, dan respons hormon. Pemeriksaan istilah komponen seluler mengungkap lokalisasi subseluler dan interaksi potensial senyawa A. galanga dalam kompartemen seluler seperti sitoplasma, membran plasma, dan pinggiran sel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senyawa metabolit dari 28 senyawa metabolit yaitu terdapat 1 senyawa metabolit pada A.galanga yaitu  dan 1’S-1’- asetosksikavikol  berpotensi pada pengobatan pada kasus diabetes mellitus dan menunjukkan sifat farmakologis A. galanga yang beragam, yang berimplikasi pada potensinya dalam pengembangan terapi baru yang menargetkan berbagai penyakit dan gangguan.
