Abstract

This study aims to find out how active learning is in learning mathematics in class V at SDN Dawuan Barat II. The method in this study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students with a total of 34 students. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The researcher gave a questionnaire with 20 questions and had 5 indicators. Then the data is described using the criteria for interpreting the percentage of answers. In the first indicator as much as 67.50% (quite active), in the second indicator 42% (less active), in the third indicator 50% (less active), in the fourth indicator 42% (less active), in the fifth indicator 66% (quite active). Based on the overall average percentage of students it can be concluded that that the activeness of student learning in learning mathematics obtained a percentage of 53% (less active).
