Abstract

Grade 2 students at SDN Tanjungmekar I have difficulty reading the beginning so that their learning is disrupted because there are several factors that cause children to have difficulty learning and how the strategies are carried out by the teacher. classroom teachers in overcoming learning to read beginning of grade 2 students at SDN Tanjungmekar I. Grade 2 students. Case studies are the method used in this study by using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation to the research subject, namely one teacher, two students, and two parents of students. From this study, it shows that the factors that influence reading difficulties are external factors, namely the lack of support from parents and the strategies used by teachers, namely by showing, directing and distinguishing.
