PRIVATE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS DITINJAU DARI PSYCHOLOGICAL MINDEDNESS PADA POLISI SATUAN SAMAPTA BHAYANGKARA KEPOLISIAN RESOR KOTA BESAR MEDAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara psychologis mindedness
dengan private self-consciousness. Hipotesis penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan
positif antara psychological mindedness dan private self-consciousness, dengan asumsi bahwa
semakin tinggi psychological mindedness maka semakin tinggi private self-consciousness dan
sebaliknya semakin rendah Psychological Minds maka akan semakin rendah private self-condition.

Resor Kota Besar Medan. Data diperoleh dari skala untuk mengukur mentalitas psikologis dan
kesadaran diri pribadi. Perhitungan dilakukan untuk menguji persyaratan analisis (asumsi) yang
terdiri dari uji normalitas dan linieritas. Data dianalisis dengan Korelasi Product Moment dengan
SPSS 17 for Windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,412 dengan
nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara pikiran
psikologis dan kesadaran diri pribadi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi yang
dilakukan oleh variabel psychologis mindedness terhadap private self-consciousness adalah sebesar
17 persen, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 83 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dari
hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan
positif antara psychologis mindedness dan private self-consciousness dapat diterima.

This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological mindedness with
private self-consciousness. The hypothesis of this study states that there is a positive relationship
between psychological mindedness and private self-consciousness, assuming that the higher the
psychological mindedness, the higher the private self-consciousness and conversely the lower the
psychological mindedness, the lower the private self-consciousness. The subjects of this study were
96 police officer of Satuan Samapta Bhayangkara Kepolisian Resor Kota Besar Medan. Data were
obtained from a scale to measure the psychological mindedness and private self-consciousness.
Calculations were performed to test the requirements analysis (assumption) that consisted of a test
for normality and linearity. The data were analyzed by Product Moment Correlation with SPSS 17
for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.412 with a
significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). It showed that there is a positive relationship between
psychological mindedness and private self-consciousness. The results of this study indicate that the
contributions made by the variable of psychological mindedness on private self-consciousness was
17 percent, while the remaining 83 percent was influenced by other factors not examined. From
these results it is concluded that the hypothesis stating that there is a positive relationship between
the psychological mindedness and private self-consciousness is acceptable.
