Statement
The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. All authors submitting their works to the journal for publication as original articles attest that the submitted works represent their contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works.
The journal follows the principles outlined by the Publication Ethics in handling ethical issues and expects all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to adhere to these ethical guidelines.
Ethical misconduct such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, or falsification of data is taken very seriously, and any such cases will be dealt with rigorously in accordance with COPE’s best practices.
Editor Responsibilities
Decision-Making Authority
The editor holds full responsibility and authority for accepting or rejecting an article.
Fair Treatment
Submissions are judged on their intellectual merit without regard to authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must ensure that information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors is kept confidential.
Conflict of Interest
Editors should not be involved in decisions about papers where they have a conflict of interest.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communications with the author, may also assist the author in improving the paper.
Confidentiality
Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. They should also alert the editor to any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Author Responbilities
Reporting Standards
Authors should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose any financial or other substantive conflict of interest.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
