Abstract

This study aims to identify, analyze and explain the business of eggplant shell craft owned by Mr. Empud in Sumedangan Hamlet, Purwadana Village, Telukjambe Barat District, Karawang Regency, and to provide solutions to the problems faced by Mr. Empud in promoting and marketing the product. The research was carried out in Sumedangan Hamlet, Purwadana Village, Telukjambe Barat District, Karawang Regency from June to August 2021. The study used a qualitative approach with an action research method on the business of fruit shell craft products belonging to Mr. Empud. The action that will be used is to conduct training and assistance on the use of social media to the subject and evaluate the success of marketing these handicraft products. The results of this study, based on the ability of knowledge/education Mr. Mpud is not highly educated but he is skilled in making the craft of berenuk without any training, while based on his skills he is quite punctual in the process, based on the experience of Mr. MPud quite mastery and creative, based on the work ability of Mr. MPud is able to completed 1 day of 8 crafts that he produced, but in using Instagram he still lacked mastery even though he had been given this training because he was still technologically stuttering, for that to add followers on Instagram, he would still ask for help from SUKUN to further improve its members and would ask students to mentage instagram berenuk which later instagram be.renuk will increase followers.
