Millennials, Generation ZAbstract
This study aims to determine whether or not there is a difference in the level of financial literacy between Generation Z and Millennials in terms of age, gender, and level of education. The sample used is 150 respondents, with 75 respondents per generation, each using a questionnaire that can be filled out online. This research is a type of quantitative comparative research. The normality test results using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test or the Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the data used in this study were not normally distributed. The data used in this study have met the requirements to be able to use the MannWhitney test. The results of this study indicate that (1) The level of financial literacy between Generation Z and Millennials is the same in terms of age. This is because the results of the calculation and analysis of Mann-Whitney show the asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value for the age variable is 0.827 > alpha 0.05. Based on the decision-making criteria, if the value of asymp.Sig (2-tailed) > alpha 0.05, then H01 is accepted, and H11 is rejected, (2) There is no difference in the level of financial literacy between Generation Z and Millennials in terms of gender. This is because the results of the calculation and analysis of MannWhitney show the value of the asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.133 > alpha 0.05. Based on the decision-making criteria, if the value of asymp.Sig (2-tailed) > alpha 0.05, then H02 is accepted, and H12 is rejected, and (3) There is no difference in the level of financial literacy between Generation Z and Millennials in terms of education level. This is because the results of the calculation and analysis of Mann-Whitney show the value of the asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.827 > alpha 0.05. Based on the decision-making criteria, if the value of asymp.Sig (2-tailed) > alpha 0.05, then H03 is accepted, and H13 is rejected.
