Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students at MI Tarbiyatul Islam 01, Kedungwaringin District. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental research methods. This study uses the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. With this type of Experimental Designs (nondesigns) using Nonequivalent Control Group Design in this design there is a pretest (before being given treatment) and posttest (after being given treatment) with a sample of 30 students. Data collection techniques and instruments in this study used essay questions. The results of the validity test on 5 essay items. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has students' creative thinking skills less effective on student learning outcomes in class V MI Tarbiyatul Islam 01.
